It all started in this beautiful square - from 19 to 21 May 1978 the first festival took place under the title "3 Days Jazz". At that time, a dozen or so young people were working hard to turn the agricultural estate into a festival site. Around 800 paying guests from all parts of the country enjoyed the concerts during the three days.
Last weekend, from 18.-20. January 2019, the fourth "3 Days Jazz" festival in the Saalfelden Leogang region took place. For the first time, the festival has been expanded from the previous seven to nine concerts. On Friday and Saturday, three concerts each took place in the Kunsthaus Nexus, one on the Stöcklalm in Leogang (free of charge) and on Sunday two more in the Mining and Gothic Museum, also in Leogang.
We are delighted to announce the opening act, a work by an Austrian musician commissioned annually by artistic director Mario Steidl of Verein Zentrum Zeitgenössische Musik (Center & Association for Contemporary Music).
