Eight years after the Carinthian double bass player Lukas Kranzelbinder presented the debut of his internationally successful septet Shake Stew in Saalfelden, he is returning to the main stage with a new, hand-picked quartet. In addition to the American drummer and percussionist Billy Martin, known as a third of Medeski Martin & Wood, this includes the two saxophonists Zoh Amba and Anna Högberg, who also play with their own formations at the festival. Using a mixture of composition and improvisation, they channel the "Hymns of Past and Future" from their more or less remote areas - Carinthia, New York City, Tennessee and the High Coast respectively. In preparation, the four of them will go hiking on the day of the concert, only to reach new heights in their corresponding sublime exhaustion in the evening.
