“Infection in the Sentence”
UK
Sarah Tandy - piano, keyboard
Binker Golding - saxophone
Sheila Maurice - Grey - trumpet
Jay Darwish - bass
Jordan Hadfield - drums
Entitled Infection in the Sentence, pianist Sarah Tandy’s debut album is the result of many years of performances in the London underground, where, according to the artist, diversity reigns: the track “Under the Skin” would have been a good fit for John Coltrane’s lost album.
The other tracks are at times lyrical, at times soulful. Sarah Tandy pushes her groove to reggae limits, infecting audiences with her rhythm.
