Late Night Session hosted by Teis Semey
Denmark, Norway, Germany, Netherlands
Teis Semey - guitar
Ingebrigt Håker-Flaten - bass
Amalie Dahl - alto sax
Jesse Schilderink - tenor saxophone
Christian Lillinger - drums
For 45 years, the Saalfelden Jazz Festival has been a breeding ground for creative meetings; some even say that planned coincidences have a tradition here. For example, when guitarist Teis Semey, the "bad boy of Dutch jazz," invites personal favorites like drummer Christian Lillinger, bassist Ingebrigt Håker-Flaten, and saxophonists Jesse Schilderink and Amalia Dahl to the session. " These names each by themselves are exciting, and grouped together, this sonic monstertruck promises a whole new kind of unknown“, says Semey. „Each musician represents striking virtuosity and shares a brutal romanticist approach to music.“ After an opening set by this five-piece, the jazz session is open to all musicians who, as Semey puts it, "want to share music together into the long night.“
