Dsilton

Austria

Georg Vogel - clavitones, composition
David Dornig - 31-tone guitars
Valentin Duit - drums

Back to the future. The Viennese trio Dsilton finds its multi-tonal, futuristic tunings in a time before the well tempered Johann Sebastian Bach. By dividing each octave into 31 equal parts – using self-made instruments – they expand their tonal palette, opening up enharmonic forms of improvisation and find “energetic arrangements with modulating rhythms”.  Pythagoras would have liked it.
