The Stages

International Jazzfestival Saalfelden

Every single stage of the festival impresses with its very own character: the sophisticated Mainstage with its exciting main concerts at Congress Saalfelden, the spin-offs and cheeky performances at the Shortcuts, the diversity of free concerts in the Stadtpark, at Kunsthaus Nexus, at Buchbinderei Fuchs or at the new location Otto-Gruber-Halle. In addition, several natural stages and alpine huts around Saalfelden offer a unique combination of stunning mountain panoramas and varied jazz music.

Our Festival-Map

All locations of the 41st Jazzfestival Saalfelden at a glance!

Mainstage / Congress Saalfelden

As the name suggests, the Mainstage in the Congress Centre is the largest venue and also the heart of the Jazzfestival Saalfelden. It is a space for concentrated listening with twelve concerts over three days, in which renowned stars of the international jazz scene as well as numerous new talents come together.

Shortcuts / Kunsthaus Nexus

Six performances will take place on this stage, which is a host to smaller groups as well as improvisational and experimental projects from the main stage. This is an absolute must for serious jazz fans!

Citytracks / Otto Gruber Hall

The Otto Gruber Hall was built in the 1950s and served the Otto Gruber agricultural machinery company as its first own workshop for almost 50 years. With its central location directly in the Mittergasse Saalfelden and its industrial flair, it reflects the urban facet of Saalfelden. After a 30-year break, we now invite artists as well as visitors to conquer this space as a new venue for the festival.

Nexus+ / Kunsthaus Nexus

In addition to the Shortcuts, the Kunsthaus Nexus also offers a stage for the Nexus+ concerts in this year' s festival. The Nexus + series is the warm-up and at the same time the closing of the festival. Here, jazz fans get in the mood for the festival during the week, and on the weekend, the party goes on until late into the night.

Citytracks / Bookbindery Fuchs

Like last year, the creative ambience of the Bookbindery Fuchs will become a place of musical encounters, where musicians meet between original handicraft machines for spontaneous impro sessions.

Park Tracks / Stadtpark Saalfelden

Already in 2019, the Stadtpark has established itself as a new meeting place for the festival. Whether on deck chairs and picnic blankets or even for dancing - the green pearl of Saalfelden will once again become an open-air stage and a musical meeting place for local and international audiences for four days.

Mountain Tracks / Concerts in Saalfelden's mountain and natural scenery

Concerts on the surrounding mountains, alpine pastures and forests, musical hikes and even a bike tour offer the opportunity to discover and enjoy the magnificent mountain and natural scenery around Saalfelden and Leogang.

The free Mountain Tracks include concerts at the new locations "Tonspuren-stage" at the Asitz, Berggasthof Huggenberg and Peter-Wiechenthaler-hut as well as at the two established venues Stöcklalm and Forsthofalm.

The chargeable WE HIKE JAZZ hikes to the Natural Cinema Leogang and the Lettlkaser-hut find their counterpart in the new WE BIKE JAZZ format, a musical bike tour to the Berggasthof Biberg.
