The Stages

International Jazzfestival Saalfelden

Each stage of the festival convice with its very own character: the demanding Mainstage with its exciting main concerts in the Congress Saalfelden, the uncoupling and cheeky performances at the Shortcuts or the whole free concerts at the Stadtplatz, Stadtpark, in the Kunsthaus Nexus or on the surrounding alpine huts.

Mainstage / Congress Saalfelden

As the name suggests, this is the main stage at the heart of our festival. The majority of performances take place here, 14 to be exact. Every year, this is a meeting place for newcomers and big names from the international jazz scene.

Shortcuts / Kunsthaus Nexus

Six performances will take place on this stage, which plays host to smaller groups as well as improvisational and experimental projects from the main stage. This is an absolute must for serious jazz fans!

Town square / Citystage

The Jazzfestival will open on Thursday with concerts at the Citystage at the town square. The concerts on this stage are open to all and are therefore an opportunity for visitors of the festival to mix and mingle with locals.

Park Tracks / Stadtpark Saalfelden

The forgotten green Pearl of Saalfelden will become the new stage and musical meeting place for young and old for the first time, this year for three days. The program includes selected concerts and cool DJ sets -all for free admission!

Nexus+ / Kunsthaus Nexus

After a great success in the last years the stage Nexus + will of course be continued and even extended! As of now, the principle of "First Come First Serve" applies to admission - seat cards are are no longer offered.

Citytracks / around Saalfelden

The Citytracks were a total success last year and now we are adding more concerts to this Stage! This year's programme includes the Museum Schloss Ritzen, the Wirthmiller Bookstore,  in the Bookbindery Fuchs and some other locations - you will be surprised!

Alpconcerts / around Saalfelden

On the schedule on Saturday and Sunday are three free concerts that will take place at three different alpine pastures. Concerts on alpine pastures are the optical highlight of the weekend. Here, jazz music is coupled with breathtaking panoramic views into the valley.
