The event was officially opened on Friday evening at the Mainstage of the Congress House. Director Mario Steidl, together with Michaela Mayer, presents the opening project to an Austrian musician or an Austrian musician. Great musicians like the bassist Manu Mayr, saxophonist Briggan Krauss or the David Helbock Quartet were enthusiastic about the jazz fans with slanting tones and free improvisation. In addition to the mainstage and shortcut concerts, there were also a number of free stages. Since this year, the NEXUS + stage has also been an integral part of the Jazzfestival program. These concerts were particularly popular with the young audience and also took place free of charge. In addition to the popular 5 / 8erl in Ehr'n, Yasmo & the Klangkantine, Café Drechsler, the Express Sketches as well as the Wortklauberei, which aroused with a Poetry Slam for the thought.
