 ly via his many appearances at the North Sea Jazz Festival\, discovered Al
 i Baba 'Bounaly' Traoré on Instagram. That same day\, he sent the 'guitar 
 prodigy' from northern Mali a request for original songs. They now present
  these and their own new compositions\, which range from a modern interpre
 tation of traditional Takamba music via blues to the funk and soul grooves
  of bassist Kyan and drummer Randell Sambo in their rousing supergroup DJA
 M!. The band name means happiness and is shouted in particularly beautiful
  moments on the dance floors of Bounaly's birthplace Niafunké. And soon in
  Saalfelden as well.
