Chris Batchelor and Steve Buckley, former members of the great band from Britain, Loose Tubes, founded Big Air in 2001. Of the founding members, Jim Black and Oren Marshall are still there. Alto saxophonist Andrew DŽAngelo and pianist Liam Noble are new members. Sound-wise they dabble in a delicate mixture of partly extravagant, and partly steadfast sensual elements. A poetic sprinkling of Folk, polyrhythmic hub and interesting air column acrobatics from the saxophone, tuba and trumpet characterise the event.
